They parted without sorrow…

They parted without sorrow,
Forgotten were happy days;
But inconsolably homesick
They met up again.

Above them was crying ghost of a young
Already faded beauty;
And these plaintive strings
Awakened old dreams.

But there were new bye
So serene cold;
They were not warmed the fire of desire,
Nor speak weeping strings.

Between them the secrets do not lie,
Everything was empty and dead;
They are wandering extinguished
And they buried deity.
